Philip Medlcott Ltd was incorporated in May 1994 and dissolved in May 2023 after having not actively traded since 2016. Further details about the company can be found here.Between 2016 and 2019 I was employed as the Chief Technical Officer for Cress Systems Ltd, which had been developing a mechanical energy recovery and storage system for use on cranes in container ports. Here, the potential energy of containers is recovered when a container is lowered and can be stored and reused when the next container is lifted. The technology was based on that previously developed at BP and at Reading University.Although the trials at the ports had some success, in 2019 Cress Systems Ltd ceased trading. The assets were acquired by Ecoss IP under the trade name “Industril Power Response”, who have continued to seek out markets with the aim of commercialising the system. For further details contact: enq@medlicott.eu
